I hope your weekend was amazing. I took the time to relax is they are my rest days lol. Today I wanted to talk about the difference between regular headphones and wireless ones. I wanted to make this post to explain the reason why the wireless headphones are a great workout tool and, in my experience, is a necessity.
I use to look at other people with wireless headphones and thought, look at them being fancy with their expensive headphones. The fact that you can get a set for under $20 is recent. They were VERY expensive when they first came out. Everything is when it’s a new technology right?
Last year, when I took YouTube seriously, I wanted to do a video about two sets of inexpensive wireless headphones. I found one at Target for $10, not joking, and another set at Michael’s for $18. I wasn’t able to do the video but FYI I love the set at Michael’s. I use them every time I visit the gym.
Once I started to use them regularly, I saw a huge advantage of using them. First and the most obvious, no wires! I can’t count how many times my hand or arm hit the cord and either the buds were snatched out of my ears or my phone hit the floor. It was so annoying! Not only that but I would have to put the phone in my sports bra or inside my pants because there were, of course, attached.
Second, I can put my phone anywhere. Since there is no cord, I wouldn’t have to worry about where I placed my phone. I can put it on the floor beside me or in the machine water bottle holder. When I first realized this, it blew my mind. It felt so good doing workouts with free weights and knowing the phone can be in front of me on the floor and I can still hear the music.
Third, I won’t have to use my phone to change the song or the volume. With the controls being on the headphones, I can press one button. When I used the regular ones, I had to stop what I was doing, take out my phone and do it from there. For me, it kills my vibe.
I hoped this helped the people who were thinking about getting them. You don’t have to pay a high price. You can go to your local Walgreen, Target, Michael’s, anywhere and get a great set of headphones with good sound quality.
