Setback But Not Giving Up

2018 has made some life-changing situations in our lives since the 2nd of the year. The universe has continued to cleanse us of everything that isn’t useful or for our good. We welcome it but it’s really a struggle right now. But we aren’t giving up.

We won’t be going to Florida Supercon this year because of financial hardship so we are aiming for Megacon Tampa Bay in September. We don’t know who we will cosplay. Rogue and Storm are meant for Supercon so they will have to wait for next year. If you want to know who we will cosplay, check out our Patreon. Road To Rogue: -5 Pounds Down And Started Planning

Hello everyone!

This past month, I have lost 5 pounds! If I keep this up, I will be ready for Florida Supercon in 4 months! I have been using what I’ve learned in the last post about different body types and lowering my fat intake. The problem that I’ve seem to be having is getting enough protein. I might have to take some protein pills or drink some protein shakes just the get the extra amount in.

Another way I’m trying to help myself lose weight is planning my life. On YouTube, It would seem that planning has a huge community and I stumbled upon it. Now I’m addicted and always watching Plan With Me videos. When I use to plan, I didn’t know what to do with the stickers and the washi tapes. I dropped it so easily. But know I have an idea and the videos I watch will keep me going if I’m stuck. I’m thinking about buying stickers off of Etsy. Maybe I can find some Anime or Manga ones. That would be so cool!

The planner I will be using is The Big Happy Planner from Michael’s. I’m going to use the planner for a couple of weeks and then I will make my own Plan With Me videos. Anyone interested in that? The videos I’ve seen have been stay-at-home mothers. I’m a person that goes to the gym and have their own business. I will even add meal plans. That sounds fun to me.

The Road to Rogue: Learning About Different Body Types

This week I found something very interesting. Apparently, we all have different body types that fit into 3 groups. They are Ectomorph, Endomorph, And Mesomorph. Here are the meanings of each body type:

I found out that I’m a Mesomorph. So here’s what I know about the Macros of Mesomorphs. They are supposed to eat 40% Carbs, 30% Fat, and 30% Protein. The time limit for a workout should be an hour and no longer. You will feel fatigued if you overdo it. Which has happened to me countless times and now I know why.

Here’s the training regime recommended by rachaelattard.com.

Regular cardio will be the key factor in keeping your body from gaining fat and compound weight exercises will help you achieve lean muscle. Here are some key guidelines:

  • Weight training 3 times per week
  • Moderate cardio 3 times per week
  • HIIT 1-2 times per week
  • Ab exercises 3 times per week
  • One rest day per week

Your weights should be moderately heavy and your reps moderate to high (8-12). The more advanced you are, the heavier your weight can be. Keep the rest between your sets at around 45-60 seconds.

As you can see, I’ve gathered information from multiple sources. When you are researching information, it’s great to not depend on one source. Road To Rogue Day 8

Hello, everyone!

Happy hump day! Today I was good with calories until I started eating Star’s popcorn. I swear I can’t resist! Unfortunately, It’s too late to go to the gym because Star is going to do her sisters hair tonight or else I would’ve gone after I’ve done this post. Since our gym close at 12 AM then we can go at 10 or 11.

I’m more of a night owl anyway. I do wish I could go to the gym during the day though because I never know what will happen after I get off of work. Today we had dinner instead of going to the gym right after work. What I thought would happen, happened and we did not go to the gym because as we are sitting here eating dinner, we got busy doing other things.

Star went to go make more popcorn for the Farmer’s Markets this weekend, hence why I said I went downhill at the end of the night lol. But that’s ok! So, for now, I’m 1/7 on gym days but I’m determined. I count Monday as the beginning of my week instead of Sunday just so you know.

Breakfast: Coffee and Cafe Mocha Creamer

Lunch: Pistachios and Chobani Flip Banana and Chocolate yogurt

Snack: 2 Small powdered donuts (A coworker gave me a pack to try because he said they came from Mexico. They remind me of the little Debbie powdered donuts but with less powder. Still good though!)

Dinner: Fish with salad and pita. (Below is a picture of a past plate because I forgot to take a picture of tonight’s plate lol)

Dessert: Lots and LOTS of different popcorn lol. Classic Movie, Ambrosia, and Tiramisu. (If you want to see different pictures of the flavors, let me know.)

Road to Rogue Day 6

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday, I picked up my cousin from the airport and we hung out for a while catching up. I haven’t seen him in more than… maybe 10 years? We are close so seeing him again was great. He was supposed to land at 2 but his flight was delayed by 2 hours. Sucks right? So when I left him at the hotel, it was 6, I think. By this time I was REALLY hungry. I didn’t have much for lunch. I was going to have the chili but I wanted a slice of banana nut bread instead with an aloe drink.For Breakfast, I did have my smoothie. When I was leaving him, I craved pizza. Just don’t go overboard and eat the entire pizza lol. I had two slices and two bread sticks.

As for the gym, we weren’t able to go because of picking up my cousin and going to see The Fate Of The Furious. The movie was great. I would definitely see it again. Thanks to a friend of ours, are able to see some movies as soon as they come out Thursday night. I didn’t think that still happened. But I will tell you one thing, watching a movie in a not so crowded theater is amazing. The downfall is going to bed after 12 but that’s worth it.

Road to Rogue Day 5

Hello, everyone.

Sorry I haven’t updated in a couple of days. I’ve been concentrating on making perlers for Outcon next month and I’ve been doing so pretty big pieces.

I’m making sure I have some Zelda ones for sell because a lot of people were asking for them at Hero Hype. If you would like to purchase some perler art, I have some already available on our facebook page shop here. I will still upload a post about that convention.

So how have I been doing? Great! I’ve gone to the gym once this week so far and I’ve been trying to stay within my calorie goal. My little problem right now is Star’s popcorn. It’s so delicious! She sold at two farmer’s markets last weekend and have some leftover. Now I’m like having a couple of small bags as a snack. If you guys are in the Plantation or Tamarac area in Florida, come by and get a tasty treat from Star’s, Poppin Around The World tent at the Farmer’s markets in the area!

Today, my band of my Fitbit broke. Unfortunately, I can’t get a new one so I will have to deal with it in my pocket. 😦 I will have to buy one either Friday when I get paid for next week. I’ve never changed my band before so this will be a new experience. I’ll have to purchase another sports band or find one that’s more durable. I think 6 months is a long time. Products nowadays are made to be perishable. I’m happy that the FitBit itself isn’t damaged.
