Which Milk is Paleo?

Bottles of Different Kinds of Milk

Since we’re going on the Paleo Diet, I wanted to know which milk is paleo and which one isn’t. Here’s what I found out.

  • Real Milk
    • No.
  • Soy Milk
    • No
  • Coconut Milk
    • Yes
  • Almond Milk
    • Yes
  • Cashew Milk (Never tried this myself)
    • Yes
  • Goat Milk
    • No
  • Hemp Milk (Never tried this myself)
    • Yes
    • Additional Fact: Hemp Protein Power, No
  • Rice Milk (Never tried this myself)
    • No

Basically any milk that made with the nuts and water. So now when I go for my coffee at Starbucks, no more soy milk. They have coconut milk so I’ll use that instead. I wonder can they heat that up. We’ll see lol.

Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and Paleo Diet

pjGb-V6gy14.market_maxresGood morning everyone. Yesterday Suta and I decided to do the Body Revolution by Jillian Michaels. We will do the videos in the morning and then we’ll try to make it to the gym in the evening. We are trying to get our 90 minutes of workout in each day. I think our rest days will be Sunday and some Wednesdays.

I’ve never done her workouts before so it will be a new experience. I read the reviews on it and it’s very hopeful.

I just completed this DVD set. I did each DVD twice–so Week 1, Week 2, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 3, Week 4, and so on. It took me six months to complete all the DVDs.

When I started the first DVD, I didn’t have much muscle to speak of. I was five months postpartum (after having had my third kid), and to say that my abs were shot is an understatement. Truthfully, I could barely do a side bend without shaking when I started this process.

After six months, I can’t believe the difference I feel in my body. I wish I could give you a huge weight loss number, but I actually only lost about 10 pounds. (I have no explanation for that.) Thank goodness I decided to measure my stomach and thighs, because that’s where I saw a big change. I lost FIVE INCHES off my waist and three inches off my thighs. I went from a size 14 to a 6. I am stronger, leaner, and more flexible than I have been in years. I have more energy and a stronger libido, and I feel happier and more stable emotionally. Working out really helped me heal from postpartum depression.

Overall, I am so glad that I did this workout program. I still have weight to lose. I really hope that I can completely get rid of this baby belly. But maybe that isn’t in the cards for me? I don’t know, but I’m going to give it a good try. Now I just have to figure out what I’m going to do next. It’s going to be hard to top the workouts I’ve been doing.

This review alone makes me want to hit the ground running. We will start this tomorrow and I’m SOOO EXCITED! Starting today, we will be doing the Paleo Diet. We’ve done it before but now that there are so many other options to help staying on track, we want to do it again and we will do it for the full 90 days while we are doing the workout. I can’t wait to see the results!

I was so nervous before I stepped on the scale. I thought it was going to say 1 lb or something but no it said 2 so I’m happy. I haven’t been going down on weight like a use to though, 3 or so lbs a week. I’m not discouraged though. As the photo says, when you feel like quitting just keep pushing and that’s what I will do.

Yesterday, I didn’t go skating like I usually do because I had to throw some things out for bulk trash. So I added it as a cleaning workout. Anybody who tells you that you are not working out when you’re cleaning is a liar and doesn’t clean at all. When I removed a BIG table from the kitchen to outside on the curb, that worked up a sweat lol. That’s that only thing that when out though. I swept up the space after that.

I’m thinking about leaving the bars that’s I’ve been having a snacks alone for a while because I realize that they could be hurting more than helping with some of the ingredients inside of them. I will leave them a long for a while and see what happens. Eveything else I’ve been eating as been fresh foods and veggies, with a little bit of sweet snacks here and there. Example, girl scout cookies. It is that time of the year and I can’t resist but I can restrain myself for going overboard. 4 cookies are 160 calories and that’s my average snack in my lunchbox.

6 Months From Now…

Fitness inspiration and motivation. It'll be worth it!!!

Yesterday I didn’t go to the park because of had to take care of a hair product label that needed to be created and it rained as soon as 5 o’clock hit. It’s sunny today so we’ll see if I can go skating today. Sharri says I’ve been doing good on the scale so yay for that.

  • Nutri-Grain Strawberry Harvest Bar
  • Horizon Vanilla Milk
  • Nutri-Grain Strawberry Greek Yogurt
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Kashi Roasted Almond Crunch Bar

Dinner for last night, I started to eat it before I knew it so I wasn’t able to take a picture of it but I’ll post up a Chicken and Dumpling picture that’s similar. ****takes time to look up the picture**** Ok so I tried to look up a picture and everything was soup. We didn’t have soup. We had 1 boneless skinless chicken breast and 4 small dumplings with some spinach.

Banana Oat (Microwave) Waffle

This is a great option for a snack through the day

Kawaii Fitness

So I posted my banana oat waffle on Facebook and just as I promised I’m going to share with you the super duper 3 (4) ingredient RECIPE that looks sinful but its not!

Here are the things you will need:

Quick Cook oats
Cinnamon powder (optional)
Microwavable Waffle mold (I got mine from Saizen-Daiso)

1. Take your bananas and slice them into a lixing bowl. I’m not giving any amount because i really didn’t count. I just kinda winged the recipe

3. Then pour almost the same amount of oats into the  mixture. Again I just estimated this. You are going to want your mixture to be thicker than oatmeal consistency because you will still be adding some whole eggs into this

4. Next get 2-3 whole eggs and mix them separately at first then add them to your banana and…

Yesterday's numbers
Yesterday’s numbers

This week’s weigh-in

It’s MONDAY! Time for this week’s weigh in.

According to the app I’m using, Sparkpeople, I should be 137 right now. I don’t take what they say seriously because I’m a woman and my body fluctuate constantly. Especially on my time of the month, which was last week. It totally messed up my count. Sharri said that I was a 136.5 before it started.

I did the flat belly exercise this week and it wasn’t bad at all. I’m happy that it separates the sets for the crunches and leg raises. I can’t do the jumping jacks so I still have to come up with a alternative. We went to a park close to the house and I skated while sharri ran. We went for 3 miles before we stopped because sharri is training for a 5k she wants to do.

I’m happily keep up with my lunchboxes. They might be for little kids but they are a great way of take food with you in small portions. I love having snacks through the day and not feel hungry until I get home.

Today’s lunchbox
Horizon Vanilla Milk • Fage Total 2% Greek Yogurt • Nutri-Grain Harvest Bar • Orville Mini Bag Popcorn • Kashi Almond Granola Bar

I’m going to the park again tonight to skate. We might do 3 miles again, I don’t know. I don’t know what we are having for dinner, I will update this post tonight.

My gallery page is linked with my Instagram page. I’m not able to blog everyday like I want to but I’m constantly posting pictures of how I’m doing on my path to weight loss as well as personal pictures I would love to share with everyone.

The 3/Wk Workout

I was looking on pinterest to see if I could find a out plan that could work for me. I could do this 2 or 3 days a week. Maybe on the days that I’m not at the park. BTW, it’s still sunny outside and I have high hopes. I’ve done these exercises before so I know I can do them. Except for one, jumping jacks. I’m top heavy, meaning big boobs and jumping jacks are my enemy lol. I will have to exchange the jumping jacks for another exercise.

30 Day No Scale Challenge

It seems to be the month of challenges because every where I go everyone is doing a challenge for something. Whether is running or dieting. Well here’s my challenge. I’m not going to step on a scale for a full month. This would probably help me stop worrying about how much a weigh through the day. I placed my scale in a draw in the bathroom where it won’t taunt me. I think this would also go great with the other challenge that I’m on this month, 30 day Ab and Core challenge. Wish me luck!
