Road to Rogue Day 1

Hello everyone!
We’ve decided to go to Florida Supercon in July with a group of friends. We are all cosplaying Marvel Characters. I will go as Rogue and Star will go as Storm. Now Rogue is wearing a bodysuit which means I need to get my body in shape for it. We all know that a bodysuit will show everything and it’s unforgiving.

So everyday, hopefully, I will be posting my progress to get in shape for her. I’m so excited because I remember watching Rogue as a kid and thinking how much of a badass she was. I never gave cosplaying her much thought because I thought mostly of anime characters but I need to expand my options.

Now to let you guys know, I’m on a intermittent diet. If you want me to expand on this let me know.

Beginning Weight: 137.3

Morning:

Coffee and soy milk

Lunch:

1/2 cup Oatmeal and 4 Mango wedges

Dinner:

Meatball, mac and cheese, sautéed vegetable, and cooked chickpea

30 minutes of elliptical and youfit express circuit.

Thank you for reading, wish me luck, and remember STAY HEALTHY 💜!!!

We are going to Florida Supercon!

Supercon will most likely be the largest event we go to this year and despite it being in our very own backyard, we’ve never managed to pay it a visit. We did manage to go to Magic City Comic Con for last year (the convention’s very first year) and this year. First time, money wasn’t so tight and the second time came from a friendly connection to a free three day pass.

Financial struggles aside, as I’m writing this I almost spat water all over (not) my laptop when I found out that Magic City is turning into Paradise City and would be moved from Miami to the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center.  We recently learned that Animate! Miami will be turning into Animate! Florida and will also be moving to the larger Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center. I’m excited! As Ft. Lauderdale residence, this really eliminates all need for a hotel or a long commute.

These three conventions are run by the same company and are always very well advertised and well received. Oh my, the cosplay!

We sprang for a corner booth this year because of the variety of products we sell; we are going to experiment with the display a little bit. Fortunately, Supercon takes place over the 4th of July weekend, starting that Friday, July 1st and ending on Monday, July 4th. Recalling last year, we spent Fourth of July selling handmade jewelry at an outdoor craft show in the Old West horse town Davie, this will be a 180 from then. I admit though, those were the best fireworks I’ve ever seen.

We are adding more handmade products to our store as Fitness To Cosplay is not simply another shirt booth, but a direct reflection of the people who run it. Our social media follows are the best thing about FTC as we love hearing their input and it drives us to work harder to turn this into our only career, so we can continue to be everyone’s cheerleaders.

We are working on getting new computers, so I can have a functioning device to create some hand drawn art work for clothing designs. My almost six year old macbook just can’t keep up anymore, but if we make it happen we’ll have some very interested designs to show off for FSC.

As for our cosplans, it’s a little too far away to tell, but Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ranma ½ and Sword Art Online are some anime/manga that come to mind.

Anyway, I’ll keep you updated on what we decide. For now we know we are going and I know I couldn’t be more please!
