Good morning everyone. Yesterday Suta and I decided to do the Body Revolution by Jillian Michaels. We will do the videos in the morning and then we’ll try to make it to the gym in the evening. We are trying to get our 90 minutes of workout in each day. I think our rest days will be Sunday and some Wednesdays.
I’ve never done her workouts before so it will be a new experience. I read the reviews on it and it’s very hopeful.
I just completed this DVD set. I did each DVD twice–so Week 1, Week 2, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 3, Week 4, and so on. It took me six months to complete all the DVDs.
When I started the first DVD, I didn’t have much muscle to speak of. I was five months postpartum (after having had my third kid), and to say that my abs were shot is an understatement. Truthfully, I could barely do a side bend without shaking when I started this process.
After six months, I can’t believe the difference I feel in my body. I wish I could give you a huge weight loss number, but I actually only lost about 10 pounds. (I have no explanation for that.) Thank goodness I decided to measure my stomach and thighs, because that’s where I saw a big change. I lost FIVE INCHES off my waist and three inches off my thighs. I went from a size 14 to a 6. I am stronger, leaner, and more flexible than I have been in years. I have more energy and a stronger libido, and I feel happier and more stable emotionally. Working out really helped me heal from postpartum depression.
Overall, I am so glad that I did this workout program. I still have weight to lose. I really hope that I can completely get rid of this baby belly. But maybe that isn’t in the cards for me? I don’t know, but I’m going to give it a good try. Now I just have to figure out what I’m going to do next. It’s going to be hard to top the workouts I’ve been doing.
This review alone makes me want to hit the ground running. We will start this tomorrow and I’m SOOO EXCITED! Starting today, we will be doing the Paleo Diet. We’ve done it before but now that there are so many other options to help staying on track, we want to do it again and we will do it for the full 90 days while we are doing the workout. I can’t wait to see the results!
Wednesdays are always our rest day because Suta has to work late and we only have enough time for dinner. So while she’s at work, I go to Starbucks to get some work done. I’m a freelance graphic designer and during the week, it’s hard to find time. Also, I’m working on the website for FTC. It’s coming a long great. I think it’s the best website so far. I’m pulling in a lot of resources to help me layout everything.
Yesterday I was able to have my protein shake because of a free cup I got from the gym! There was a store that had a table there called Nutrishop. They’re really close to my job and they said that they have better prices. We might be able to check it out tomorrow since we don’t have any plans and hopefully we can go to the gym.
I posted my April progress picture. I see little changes but there changes none the less. My stomach has gone in a little. Thanks to the challenge we are on! Seriously, I’m happy my cousin thought of this challenge. I don’t think I would be as focused as if I was doing it randomly.
It felt so good going back to the gym after a week. We hit the elliptical hard even though we only did it for 30 minutes. We normally go for an hour. We choose to do GREEN.
- 50 Jumping Jacks
- 50 Squats
- 20 Crunches
- 20 minutes Cardio
Doing the squats, I’ve realized that I was able to go down deeper than before. Who knows, maybe the week off was a good thing. The jumping jacks was a improvement as well but I still don’t like to do them because of my big boobs. But oh well you do what you must. We are to rest every other day so that will only be cardio days for an hour. Unless Star wants to run then I’ll would speed walk on the treadmill.
This week is core week for the challenge! This will help me balance with the week I had last week. Still haven’t gone to the gym yet but I hopefully we’ll go today. We had an unplanned meeting yesterday and it ran well into the night. I’m doing the intermittent fast again today to try to reset my body. I feel so bad about not doing my post for the challenge but sometimes life gets in the way, you’ll just have to work around and don’t give it up!

Good morning everyone. I woke up with my legs feeling sorta sore today and that’s awesome. My arms not so much but this weeks challenge worked out more of the legs then the arms. I’m going to plow through the jumping jacks this week (grimace) but it’s all worth it in the end. Between Youfit and Zoo, I like the Youfit much better because of the atmosphere and updated equipment. I can’t wait for the one closer to my job open up.
Hi guys. Happy Friday! Time went by so quickly. OK so we were thinking that we could start juicing during the weekend and up to Thanksgiving. I think it’s a good idea because, with all the food we will eat on Thanksgiving, it will give our stomachs sometime to prepare. It’ll be easier to do it at our job in the farmer’s market, yes we work 7 days a week, because we have vendors that sells juice. We will then eat the rest of the dinner we had on yesterday, curried rice and veggies with chicken sausage so it won’t go to waste.
After doing cardio days, I found that working out yesterday was kinda hard. We did strength training for 30 then cardio for 30 mins and the cardio was a challenge. Maybe my body felt out of sync with the strength training? Star said it was the end of the week so our bodies our winding down. Maybe? I’m already ready to hit it hard next week. We are working out for an hour today again instead of hour and a half like we normally do.
Another thing that sucks is that my moon cycle started and that already messes with my weight. Being a girl sucks! Now I know why my weight was stuck for two weeks while I’m exercising and eating right. Well at least I didn’t gain like I normally do. Hopefully that means that once this is all over, the pounds will melt right off. Let’s hope.

Suta has decided to go on a 3 day fast so instead of doing strength training along with cardio, we have decided to just do cardio. We will do 1 hr on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill.
I’m praying to hit 130 by the end of the week. I only touch 131.8 sometimes and then go back up. It’s frustrating but I have to keep going and not stop. I will reach my goal one day.
There’s a woman at the gym that’s amazing. She Asian and she has muscles that can compete with some of the guys at the gym. I love to look at her as she works out. Kinda stalkerish but she’s a inspiration. I think I’ll start calling her my S.A.W, Super Asian Woman. I will take a picture of her to show you guys.
