How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I hope it was well. I was able to maintain my weight before, during and after. I’m so proud of myself.  Now to get through Christmas with all the sweets that’s going to be around, especially candy canes. This week, I’ve only gone to the gym 3 times. Yesterday, I concentrated on my hair and today I will do the same. I gotta tame this thing!

Preparing Backfire

I was hoping to lose weight before Thanksgiving while fasting and exercising for 3 days but it doesn’t seem to be working. Well, I don’t fast the whole day, I eat something small for breakfast, nothing for lunch, drink plenty of water and eat dinner. I exercised Monday but not yesterday because Star was doing her sister’s hair. We went to get dinner on the way home and then came home after 9. I really hate eating dinner late. I don’t want the food to be sitting in my stomach but sometimes you can’t help it.

If we don’t go to the gym again today, I’m doing a video from Fitness Blender. I found them on YouTube a long time ago. They have fitness videos for free on the site. I recommend looking them up. They are second best to Dailyburn.

I might even do that on the weekend since the gym we go to is so far. Just try to keep my body moving because if I stop, so will it.

Thanksgiving Approaching.

I need a game plan before Thanksgiving to make sure that I don’t overdo it. First it would be great to know what people are cooking. Every Thanksgiving, we go to Star’s mom’s house to visit and they are Jamaican so they have a mixture at Thanksgiving. I think I’ll go with the small plate tactic. Not only her family but a friend of ours wants to invite us as well. Maybe another small plate tactic. I don’t want to be stuffed. Oh! One thing I would love to get this Christmas or before Christmas, is a Polar Watch.

I know the iWatch is better but it’s really expensive for me at this time and I’ll get it later. Unless someone gifted to me and I’ll love them for life lol. I’ve seen my friends with these and I think it will be a great idea to get an accurate reading off of how many calories I’m burning that the machines at the gym. Just for when their judgement is off. I read a blog once, and I think I reblogged it here, that the machines are judging as close as possible to the calorie count.

It’s sad but I won’t be able to go to the gym Thursday and Friday. Thursday is Thanksgiving of course and Friday, the gym is too far and so we’ll might go to the park with our dog, Onyx. It’s also Black Friday, so there will be a lot of walking anyway. 😀 Star and I also decided to Fast on Saturdays and Sundays off of solid foods and  have protein shakes and juice.

Recently, I noticed that we would eat unhealthy because our jobs at the farmer’s market doesn’t have any healthy food vendors. Once we eat one thing unhealthy, unfortunately, we give up after that and start over again on Monday. I don’t want to keep starting over, I want to keep going. This way, we can buy the protein shakes on friday, Pure Protein, and drink them for the weekend.

It’s Friday! Thinking about Juicing.

Hi guys. Happy Friday! Time went by so quickly. OK so we were thinking that we could start juicing during the weekend and up to Thanksgiving. I think it’s a good idea because, with all the food we will eat on Thanksgiving, it will give our stomachs sometime to prepare. It’ll be easier to do it at our job in the farmer’s market, yes we work 7 days a week, because we have vendors that sells juice. We will then eat the rest of the dinner we had on yesterday, curried rice and veggies with chicken sausage so it won’t go to waste.

After doing cardio days, I found that working out yesterday was kinda hard. We did strength training for 30 then cardio for 30 mins and the cardio was a challenge. Maybe my  body felt out of sync with the strength training? Star said it was the end of the week so our bodies our winding down. Maybe? I’m already ready to hit it hard next week. We are working out for an hour today again instead of hour and a half like we normally do.

Another thing that sucks is that my moon cycle started and that already messes with my weight. Being a girl sucks! Now I know why my weight was stuck for two weeks while I’m exercising and eating right. Well at least I didn’t gain like I normally do. Hopefully that means that once this is all over, the pounds will melt right off. Let’s hope.

Thanksgiving Survivor

Hello everyone. I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving. Even though there was a lot of food cooked, I was able to contain myself and eat what my body was able to. I survived by gaining 2 lbs and not 10 lbs like usual. Dodge that bullet. The days ahead I ate moderately and made sure that I knew the calories I was taking in. On black friday, I was trampled on and I got some great games from Game Stop. The one I’m  most proud of is Dance Central 3. Anyway to workout and have fun. Speaking of fun, I played tennis on Sunday. I’m no Williams sister by any means but I’m pretty good. No balls over the fence. LOL. What else did I do? Hmmm….  Nothing else really. Those was my highlights. Now back to the normal route of work, eating healthy, trying to find other ways of working out other than the gym, yay DC3, and just trying to have fun.
